ProPitchReel ("we", "us", "our") is a professional networking platform connecting capital, expertise, and opportunity across finance. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data transparently.

1. Data We Collect

• Account & profile data: name, email address, username, organization, role, biography, profile settings, and authentication identifiers.
• User-generated content: posts, comments, deal-room activity, messages, warm intro activity, recruiter workflow responses, and support requests.
• Media & communications metadata: uploaded media URLs, video metadata, transcripts, captions, summaries, and scheduling metadata.
• Calendar & connection data: connected calendar account identifiers, calendar event metadata, and encrypted token material.
• Product, analytics & security data: IP address, device/browser metadata, logs, audit history, analytics events, error telemetry, and abuse-prevention signals.
• Commercial data (where applicable): subscription, billing, tax, and transaction-related records.

2. Why We Process Your Data

• To provide the platform and user-requested features
• To authenticate users and secure accounts
• To host content, process media, and synchronize calendar workflows
• To operate communications, support, and notifications
• To improve the service, monitor reliability, and prevent misuse
• To comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and record-keeping obligations

3. Legal Bases (GDPR)

• Contract: account provisioning, core product delivery, customer support, billing administration.
• Legitimate interests: product security, service analytics, fraud prevention, operational monitoring.
• Consent: optional communications, cookies/SDKs that require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy.
• Legal obligation: compliance records, tax/accounting records, law-enforcement or regulator responses.

4. Data Sharing & Processors

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be processed by service providers that support hosting, storage, messaging, analytics, media delivery, billing, authentication, AI features, and calendar integrations. Our current service providers include:

5. International Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the EEA/UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions.

6. Data Retention

• Account and feature data is retained while your account remains active.
• Data export requests are generated in-app and retained only as needed for the request record.
• Deletion requests use a 30-day cooling-off period and can be cancelled before execution.
• Minimal audit logs may be retained after deletion for security, compliance, or dispute handling.

7. Your Rights

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Receive a copy of your data (data portability)
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Exercising Your Rights

You can exercise your data rights directly within the app:

• Data export: submit an export request in-app to receive a JSON download of your data.
• Account deletion: submit a deletion request in-app. A 30-day cooling-off period applies and can be cancelled.
• Privacy settings: manage your privacy preferences in the Settings → Privacy section.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics and optional tracking technologies are subject to your consent preferences, which you can manage in the app's privacy settings.

10. Children's Privacy

ProPitchReel is designed for professional use and is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
